Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress well known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage performer in several Broadway plays before breaking through into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's performance in the year 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise made her debut in Hollywood with God's Little Acre a drama which was made in 1958. She played Griselda the main character of the film. As a student at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. The actress signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition for herself as a director of well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto at the age of three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. Her home was in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
